Celebrating 100 years and host to the inaugural ETS14, the Paramount Theatre is a live theatre venue/movie theatre located in downtown Austin, Texas. The classical revival style structure was built in 1915. The building was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on June 23, 1976.
The Paramount Theatre
Established in 1915, the Paramount Theatre has been home to iconic films and performances, including the likes of Harry Houdini, Katharine Hepburn and Miles Davis.
As one of the first – and few remaining – examples of early and distinctive theatrical architecture, the Paramount stands as a testament to how important the venue is to the community and the cultural landscape that makes Austin unique.
