Jose Bravo

Jose is a world-renowned expert in the laws of thermodynamics and separation technology, vital in producing oil and gas. He is developing new equipment for refineries, chemical plants and gas operations and sees part of his role is to champion technological excellence.

Jose has dedicated his career to Separations Process Technology. In his 34-year career he has been granted more than one dozen patents and published many scientific works including and nearly 100 technical articles and papers.

Before Joining Shell in 1995 he led the Separations Research Program at the University of Texas at Austin. He also is a member of the Executive Committee of Fractionation Research Inc, the Advisory Board of the Rice Center for Sustainability, and on the Advisory Committee of the Petroleum Engineering Department at University of Texas at Austin.

He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana and University of Texas at Austin.
